My name is Nicole Chen. I live in New York City, New York and work as the 5th person at a startup in the AI services space. Previously, I worked on Experimental Projects, Crypto, and Capital @ Stripe, Engineering and Product as the 10th person @ Paraform, and Content Understanding @ Snapchat.

I grew up in Greenwood Village, Colorado, attended college at Harvard where I studied Computer Science and Economics, and currently live with 2 roomates in Flatiron.

My interests have evolved throughout the years, but I find myself drawn to strategy-based sports (fencing, squash, spikeball), networks and systems whose rules have been built and defined by convention/societies in a way that can become inefficient because of misaligned incentives or because of new technologies (recruiting / talent, estate and property management, financial networks), and people (what motivates them, why they act the way they are, etc).

I love to write and read, and I find that I retain information best through writing which is why I created this website in the first place. Some topics that I would like to further immerse myself in:
